Alliance Française

What it actually is

Around 800 Alliance Française centres worldwide run in-person and online French courses, host DELF/DALF exam sessions, and lend French books and films to members. The teaching is properly qualified FLE instruction, which is what most self-learners are actually missing. Prices and class quality vary a lot by city, and the timetable commitment is real — check your local centre specifically rather than the umbrella site.
