What it actually is

The public broadcaster's flagship international-news hour: correspondents and academics are brought on to explain one foreign story at a time, so each segment stays on a single subject long enough for context to carry you. Because you often already know the story from news in your own language, it is one of the more guessable native listens. It is still real broadcast Korean at full speed, thick with Sino-Korean political vocabulary and honorific interview register, and there are no transcripts.
