Dialogue-plus-explanation lessons with transcripts, line-by-line breakdowns and flashcards, covering absolute beginner through lower intermediate. The sheer volume makes it a decent daily listening habit, and a free account gives real access before you commit. Two caveats: the catalogue mixes varieties without always making the distinction obvious, so check whether a lesson is formal Arabic or dialect; and the marketing is relentless, with prices only reasonable during their frequent sales.

MSA texts rewritten in Egyptian, read slowly, then explained in English.

Nesrin Amin took news stories and fiction in Modern Standard Arabic, adapted them into Egyptian, read the Egyptian version slowly and then spent the second half explaining in English exactly which sounds, endings and words had changed. Nothing else answers the question an MSA-trained learner actually has when they arrive in Cairo. It stopped publishing in 2022 and bilmasri.com is now offline, so this is an archive: the episodes still stream, the blog transcripts no longer resolve.

Sondos records twenty-minute episodes on one practical situation at a time — ordering food, going to a pharmacy, small talk — in Egyptian Arabic with enough English to keep a beginner oriented. Seventy-odd episodes since 2020 and still publishing in 2026, free everywhere, with the same material on YouTube if you want it on screen. It is one of very few Egyptian-dialect podcasts pitched at people who cannot yet follow a native conversation.

Everyday Egyptian words and phrases, said slowly and repeated.

A new and small show — eighteen episodes as of August 2026, still publishing — in which Eslam takes a handful of Egyptian Arabic words or a short phrase and repeats them slowly enough to shadow. There is no curriculum and no transcript, so treat it as drill material alongside a course rather than as one. It earns its place because material this slow in Egyptian rather than Modern Standard is genuinely scarce.
