歴史を面白く学ぶコテンラジオ(COTEN RADIO)
World history told as a serialised story over multi-episode arcs, in Japanese.
What it actually is
One of Japan's best-known podcasts: a researcher narrates the life of a historical figure or the arc of an era across several episodes while two co-hosts react and ask the obvious questions. The serial format is what makes it usable as input — names and vocabulary recur across an arc, and the co-hosts' questions restate the hard bits. The Japanese is unscripted and quick with a lot of historical and abstract vocabulary, so it is comfortable only around B2 upward. Free, with over 700 episodes.
