What it actually is

Twelve chapters covering Vietnamese sentence construction from beginner through advanced, organised around the constructions English speakers get wrong by translating word for word rather than around a course sequence. This is the reference the other Vietnamese books here do not try to be — Elementary Vietnamese and Tiếng Việt 123 teach you in order, this one answers a question. The book is paid (256 pages, Tuttle, 2024), but the native-speaker audio for all twelve chapters is free on the publisher's site with no account.
