r/LearnJapanese
867,000 learners, and a daily question thread that actually gets answered.
What it actually is
The largest Japanese-learning community anywhere, and unusually well run for its size: a Daily Thread absorbs the beginner questions that would otherwise drown the front page, weekly threads cover writing practice and materials, and the wiki collects the answers people keep needing. Japanese generates more resource-choice paralysis than almost any language — kanji order, which grammar guide, when to start reading — and this is where those arguments have already been had. Opinionated and occasionally combative; read the wiki before posting.
