What it actually is

A dedicated learners' community rather than a general Dutch one, which matters here more than in most languages: the standing complaint of Dutch learners is that everyone in the Netherlands answers them in English, and this is a place where that does not happen. Word order, separable verbs and the de/het split come up constantly and get patient answers. Belgian and Dutch members both post, so it is also where you notice which forms are Flemish.
