What it actually is
A small but active community for the Urdu language, covering script, poetry and usage. It earns a place on a short list because Urdu's hardest questions for a learner are ones a dictionary handles badly: whether a word belongs to Urdu or to Hindi, whether the Perso-Arabic spelling you found is current, and how much of what you are reading is register rather than vocabulary. Roughly 50,000 members, so expect a day for an answer.
