What it actually is

Every weekday afternoon Deutschlandfunk's presenters walk through the main stories with the reporters who covered them, so you get argument and context rather than a headline sprint. Because each item runs several minutes, the surrounding explanation carries you over words you don't know — this is the gentlest of the serious German news podcasts. Full native speed, no transcripts, and the political vocabulary is dense; realistically B2 before it stops being exhausting.
