Geschichten aus der Geschichte
Two historians take turns telling each other a story from history, weekly since 2015.
What it actually is
Richard Hemmer and Daniel Meßner alternate: one researches an episode of history and narrates it to the other, who reacts as a first-time listener. That format is quietly ideal for learners — one person is telling a structured story, and the second voice keeps asking the clarifying questions you would have asked. Free, over six hundred episodes, weekly. Both hosts are Austrian, so expect Austrian standard German; there are no transcripts and the pace is conversational.
