What it actually is

ARD's daily bulletin rewritten by the tagesschau newsroom into deliberately simple German: short sentences, one idea at a time, and unfamiliar terms defined as they appear. It was made for people in Germany who struggle with standard news German, which happens to make it the easiest genuine German news anywhere — a real bridge between graded audio and the full tagesschau. About ten minutes, daily, free. The delivery is unhurried but not artificially slow, and there is no vocabulary list.
